Covid-19
The exact name of the currently spreading corona virus is SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2). It causes the disease Covid-19. The virus was likely passed from an animal to a man on an animal market in Wuhan (China) end of 2019. Human diseases that originate in animals are called zoonotic diseases or zoonoses.
